Hello everybody!!!
Enjoy this portfolio :-)

What did I learn during the seminar??

First of all, I have to say, that I became acquainted with many tools that are useful as a future teacher. Some of them are mentioned on this website and I can imagine using many of them at school. Especially those tools, that are helpful creating sheets for the pupils are great possibilities to make a lesson more interesting. Moreover I liked the idea of using Skype at school, so the children can talk to people from all over the world to improve their language knowledge or to get to know some interesting information about a country or the school system in another country.

Besides the tools that were shown to us, I really got into the digitale-schultasche. I think this is one of the greatest gadgets that teachers and pupils should use. Everything that pupils need to do their homework or to create a good presentation is on it and they are not dependent on the computers at school and the programs on them. As a teacher it is very helpful, too, because each program on the stick can be carried around and you do not have to confide on the equipment at school.

Another thing I got confronted with for the first time dealt with the copyright. Well, I knew that I am not allowed to use every single picture that I find on the internet for my own purposes, but otherwise I did not know how complicated it is to find appropriate pictures that are free to use for everyone. But to solve this problem some nice websites were given with which we can find pictures that do not get me into trouble.

All in all I have to say that on the one hand the seminar showed us a lot of good tools I would use at school later on to make a lesson more creative and moreover to let the children work with new media and on the other hand now I know websites that help me organize my materials for school and to find ideas for creating a lesson (http://lernarchiv.bildung.hessen.de/). Furthermore I learned how to create my own website - which honestly was and partly still is the most difficult thing for me to create such!
